Target Audience
Chinese students are studying in the UK. (undergraduate & postgraduate).
(Piers Steel, 2007)“Procrastination is extremely prevalent,” Piers Steel, a business professor at the University of Calgary, noted in a 2007 study. “Estimates indicate that 80 to 95%of college students engage in procrastination, approximately 75 % consider themselves procrastinators, and almost 50% procrastinate consistently and problematically.”
A survey shows that more than 80% of college students have procrastinated, and more than 50% of students procrastinate frequently. Procrastination has become a behavioural problem that plagues students' studies. Academic procrastination is often manifested in issues such as final essay writing, exam preparation, and designated homework.
A survey by the Student Psychological Counseling Center of Beijing Language and Culture University found that 100% of international students suffer from procrastination (chart below).
An article (2014) in the British Guardian “Why aren't Chinese students at UK universities getting top degrees?” pointed out that due to changes in socio-economic background, Chinese students have failed to find suitable learning methods. Inconsistent education systems will lead to Unsatisfactory performance and other phenomena.
